Structure fire on Conifer Mountain Road

One patient (civilian) was taken emergent to the hospital with complications exacerbated by the fire, but not directly caused by it. Upon hospital arrival, the patient was in stable condition.

Overhaul continues at the structure fire on Conifer Mountain Rd. Due to a collapse of the structure, firefighters are working with heavy equipment in efforts to access still burning and smoldering areas.

Crews are done mopping up, will continue to monitor for hot spots that may be hidden in the debris of the damaged home.

Elk Creek Fire responded to a fully involved structure fire on 6-11-19 shortly after 9 a.m. The structure was a total loss, but we are glad to report that no firefighters were injured. One civilian was taken to the hospital with complications not directly caused by the fire. The patient was in stable condition upon hospital arrival. The center debris of the collapsed home is smoldering and putting off smoke. Elk Creek Fire is on scene, standing down additional resources.
