LE planning to close Hwy 285 NB at the light at Pine Junction (MM 229).

Last patient is loaded into North Fork's ambulance for transport to Elk Creek Fire station 1 for rendezvous with Flight For Life. Chopper en route.

US 285 Crash - Two Vehicle Head-on.

Sadly, we must confirm one individual has died at the scene. Four patients are now being transported to the metro area with serious to critical injuries.

This will require an extensive investigation. No ETA to clearing the highway.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– Highway 285 was closed in both directions between Pine Junction and Conifer on Thursday afternoon. A head-on collision between two vehicles resulted in one death and four others injured.

For those of you with kids on the buses which are stuck in the backups, per a parent:

just talked to the bus barn - sounds like they are bringing at least some of the busses back to the terminal and we have to pick up our kids there. You should call about your own student though.
