BOCC FIRES PARK COUNTY SERVICE OFFICER

Well here we go again. The PC BOCC last October 27, gave alot of LIP SERVICE to the Veterans of this county at a meeting that we attended to support the Park County Service Officer. She works extremely hard to assist Veterans. Because of her, alot of Veterans now receive disability benefits that they otherwise would not have gotten. Alot of times she would actually take the Veteran and family to the VA to make sure they would get the proper treatment. At the meeting in Oct they told her what a great job she was doing, how they wanted her to get more training and certifications, get the software and a small pay raise. During that same meeting, I suggested that if they monitored the county credit card bill better that it would more than cover the PC Service Officers pay raise.

Now they are going to get rid of her. More lies from these idiots. Guess they have to get rid of her to help fund thier pay raise. The state paid a portion of the salary. So if you are a Veteran, and need assistance Park County no longer can do that for you. She can still assist you but she will not longer be on the payroll. If you want to make sure you do get some benefits she is the person to get it done.

This is a terrible decision by the BOCC. She has helped so many veterans and their families! I think there's a petition in Bailey people can sign to support keeping her.

This is so wrong on so many, many levels. Any reasons given for terminating her?

Ok Everyone! there are petitions to save Linda's Job at the Cut Throat Cafe and the Rio. Please get as many people down there to sign the petitions.
Also call the commissioners and let them know that we are not happy and that there jobs may be on the line if they don't bring her back. The need their heads removed from the other end and I ready to do it surgically!
We are planning other methods and will be letting you know. Please have everyone you know sign the petitions down at the Cut Throat and the Rio!

I ran into Linda at lunch today and she said most of the blame actually isn't the B.O.C.C. but the State.

She told me to look up the Colorado Department of Military and Veteran's Affairs. I went to their site and the Head is A General Edwards. I couldn't find any way to contact him other than to write a letter, which is what I am in the process of doing.
