That is not in the rules of the game. If you dish it out, you had better be able to take it in return. Since Kresspin first signed on here on this forum, with a different screen name, she has been antagonistic, condescending and arrogant. Just because you want to stand up for here, along with the other Liberals that have been dishing it out for awhile, isn't going to get you or her, treated kinder, by any means.

BTW, if you asked LADIES that know me, they would tell you that I am always a perfect gentleman, but that is off the boards.

He probably wants to see my birth certificate.

In those days they were carved on stone tablets, and couldn't be Photoshopped.

I guess you are as ignorant of what it is to be a gentleman as what it is to be a conservative. A true gentleman always behaves as such. There are some true gentlemen and true conservatives. I don't number you or trouble among either. I'd think a man of your years would know better. I guess now we know that wisdom and age don't go together.

What you are describing is a male chauvinist, not a gentleman. A male chauvinist treats all women in a non distinctive manner. A gentleman considers a lady as deserving of attention due to a lady but treats a woman as she deserves.

I believe you have it wrong, Major Bean. Male chauvinism is "a term used to describe the belief that men are superior to women." A male chauvinist treats all women in a disdainful manner, thinking of them as less than a man.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chauvinism

"Exaggerated belief in the supremacy of one's nation, class, caste, or group."

Uh, no a chauvinist definitely does treat all women in a distinctive manner: they treat them in a crappy manner due to their sexist attitudes, whether they are acting like ladies or not. Gentlemen treat all women with respect, regardless of the woman's behavior, because they were taught better manners.
chau·vin·ism (shv-nzm)
n.
1. Militant devotion to and glorification of one's country; fanatical patriotism.
2. Prejudiced belief in the superiority of one's own gender, group, or kin

I'm not too sure I agree with your analogy 100 percent there, Lou.

Opossums don't eat chickens.

Opossums eat chichen eggs. And egg fed opossums are delicious. Yes I have eaten many opossums in my youth. And raccoon, prairie dog, armadillo, rattlesnake, crawdads.

That's the analogy....kill (abort) the little chickens ....

Back in the '60s if you held the door for a woman you were classified as a male chauvinist pig. If you opened the door of the car for a woman you were a male chauvinist pig. If you held the chair for a woman to sit you were a male chauvinist pig. If you showed any consideration at all for a woman you were a male chauvinist pig.

Face it! There is just no pleasing a woman!

Have you thought maybe asking her what she'd like, rather than assuming for her, might be a better way to go?

Just askin'!

We're all different, some of us want the door held, some of us don't - surprise, you can't generalize and do the same thing for all women and expect the same results.

Sorry, no. I don't swing that way and I am amazed that you, the self professed morality policeman of the 285bound forum that chastises others for what you perceive as "their wicked ways," would even suggest such a thing.

If I have to ask you to hold the door for you...open the door yourself. That's the problem with America ... you can't do anything nice for your neighbor because there always some femini-nazi, lesbian, anti-god pious heretics to label the person doing the good deed.

Civilly in America has been destroyed by libtards and socialist.

rofllol OMG! Really? You can't be polite and ask? I'm sorry we're not all pregnant and barefoot in the kitchen for you, and let you do our thinking for us anymore! Maybe we don't like you just assuming what we want, or liking what you've done in the past cuz it don't mean sh** - holding the door is ridiculous. How about helping the kids with their homework, or giving her a backrub after her long day at the office? Noticing that the clean laundry hasn't been put away yet and doing it without being asked, or that the dishes have stacked up because she's got a big project at work on her plate?

Apparently, the problem with conservatards is that they want to do the easy things, like pull out a chair, rather than the harder things, like being an actively involved parent, or a conscientious husband. :Whistle
