I always wonder if bashing homosexuals is way to keep from actually taking a really good look at themselves. Oh, wait. They think they are the "world" and the rest of us should kowtow to them.
Nmysys might be sulking again,I think he does that when he is asked to actually post his own opinion on his copy-paste articles. Maybe he has a fear of public posting, it's easier to post others opinions than his own.

Here's an example of the problem in America....many want to be and look like a communist country.
It doesn't surprise that a communist country would allow homosexuals to serve....as Communist don't really represent the morality that I would want to exemplify - then again, homosexuals are probably rampant in communist China because they killed off a few generations of women for population control measures - and we know...boys without women....well, they will be gay.
American exceptional-ism is a proud legacy left by our Founding Fathers and earlier generations that unfortunately has been mired by libtards, socialist, and communist who reside in our educational and government institutions.
Oh ye, fellow Americans, let's follow China's lead....nice job, NetDude.
We're behind in education and technology. We're behind in quality of life (we're #15), health care (we're #6) and in other medical areas such as infant mortality rates (we rank 33 or 45th depending on which list you believe) -- behind all of Europe and even (gasp) Cuba. Soon we'll be behind in GDP, falling to China which is also has an active manned space program, while we have to use 1970s Russian technology to put our astronauts into space. 1970s technology is better than no technology, IMO. Here we are in 2011 with no means of putting men in space. (Remember where we used to think we'd be in space exploration by 2001?
While we sit here on what we think of as our own little perfect island and scoff at foreign countries that have been around hundreds of years (or centuries) longer, they continue to surpass us in many areas. However, we surpass the world in carbon footprints and use finite resources as if they are infinite, unlike the countries we scoff at.
But we can be content knowing we have more freedoms that other countries, including the freedom to carry a weapon and litter our forests with broken clay targets, spent shells and lead.
Many think the entire world wants to live here and become a U.S. citizen. They would be shocked to learn how citizens in other modern countries look down on us and have no desire become an American.
The sad thing is, those who fiercely defend the United States, as they rightly should defend their country, will put all this down as anti-American liberal poppycock, attacking the messenger and ignoring the message, not realizing until it is too late that the glory days of America have passed them by. For once we realize we have fallen behind in education, it will take decades to recover. Even that will be blamed on liberal teachers -- ignoring the fact that liberal (i.e. open minded) teachers exist everywhere -- even in countries that turn out much smarter and more worldly aware students. Where we educate our students in four year colleges, Europe turns out better educated students in three yearsy , instead of four simply because they have longer learning periods. The US is no longer in the top 10 in science, mathematics or reading literacy -- surpassed by all those "liberal" countries (and China) that we so often look down upon.
Somehow we have built our country so that we are the world's leading military force, spending more on Defense than the rest of the world combined.
If I didn't care about my country, I wouldn't be so worried about its future. I also think living next to Mexico has given us a false sense of superiority in the world.
Just my opinion, but one which I formed from facts. I'd love to hear alternate viewpoints, dealing in facts and no rhetoric.
I agree with most of your post, but have one point of contention. The healthcare ratings and infant mortality rates that you mention are skewed scales. The healthcare ratings take into account availability of healthcare without taking into account that those without healthcare insurance get healthcare even if they cannot pay for it. The infant mortality rates are skewed because many countries don't report an infant death if it occurs during childbirth, while the US does.
Wow. All the post menopausal, wrinkled up cranky broads are wondering where I am. I had no idea that I would be missed while I have been sick in bed. It's so nice to be loved. Thank you, my adoring fans.
