The only comment I would make is leave it to a writer at the NYT to attempt, once again, to establish the principles of collective salvation as preached by the progressives as being included in the Holy Scripture. Anyone who reads the tome quickly sees that the writings are intended for the individual and their behavior, not the collective and its behavior. Sodom might have indeed been destroyed because the people within it were selfish and greedy, but having the government of Sodom collect taxes from the inhabitants for social welfare initiatives would not have corrected that character flaw which the Lord found so displeasing. You are called by Him to help them yourself, not by proxy.
