Will they make folks 80 and over suffer similarly? I doubt it as they are a powerful voting bloc.

If you are over 65 you have to renew you license every 5 years instead of every 10, but I think that's it, so far.

Now I don't feel so bad.....last time I renewed it was for 10 years....when my husband renewed recently it was 5. I figured it was age related.

I sure am glad that the 'Gubment has taken over everyone's responsibility for themselves... Heaven forbid anyone be held accountable for their own actions. I can almost justify the restrictions on kids 16 to 18 but at age 18 kids cross the line in to adulthood, if they are adults then treat them as such and let them suffer the consequences for non-compliance with the law just like the rest of the adult population. Frankly I find this kind of 'Gument nanny-ism insulting to all citizens, has the collective population sunk so far away from personal accountability that we need the 'Gubment to pass laws to protect us from ourselves?!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus
