Obama's Top Ten

Obama's Top Ten was created by Rick

In honour of President Obama’s state visit to Britain this week, here’s an updated and revised list, as a reminder to readers of the president’s less than stellar track record when it comes to US-British relations. The US president will no doubt be careful not to offend his hosts when he travels to London, and he will receive a warm welcome from the Queen and the Prime Minister, as any American president would. But the prospect of an embarrassing diplomatic gaffe or insensitive remark cannot be ruled out from a world leader whose administration has all too often specialised in them.

I think he just added another one by talking over their National Anthem. If this was Bush, it would have been talked about on every network. I doubt many of these insults were intentional, but it sure does make a statement about the "new and improved" America.

Now feel free to attack the messenger or..... disagree with the premise rationally. (oh and don't forget Bush)

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

OK.

You are all a bunch of hypocrites. You did not say anything when Bush barfed on the Prime Minister. So there. :nyah:

Wasn't 285 a dirt road when Bush I barfed on the Japanese?

And I think barfing on the Japanese is a mild response since they shot down his plane in WWII

Pine, what is that a picture of?

I have heard stories that the Pres gave the Queen an Ipod loaded with his speeches but that is so out there that I have always believed that it was a lie promulgated by some way out there right wing hater.

No, he didn't give her an Ipod loaded with his speeches. Yes it was a right wing lie, but he did give her an Ipod.

iPod loaded with video footage and photographs of her 2007 United States visit to Richmond, Jamestown and Williamsburg in Virginia. In return, the Queen gave the President a silver framed signed photograph of herself and the Duke of Edinburgh – apparently a standard present for visiting dignitaries.
It is believed the Queen already has an iPod, a 6GB silver Mini version she is said to have bought in 2005 at the suggestion of Prince Andrew.
UPDATE: Pool reporter Richard Wolf of USA Today says that an Obama aide told him the President also gave the Queen a “rare songbook signed by Richard Rodgers“. END UPDATE
