Happy Father's Day.

Denver Post Today:
70+ percent of African American fathers have a kid born out of wedlock.
40+ percent of Hispanic fathers have a kid born out of wedlock
30+ percent of white fathers have a kid born out of wedlock.

And record numbers of fathers don't live with their kids currently.

Have to think this isn't good for society, millions of single moms with little financial or physical support raising kids.

I have 2 SIL's who have kids and neither receive any financial aid from the baby fathers. One guy had the gall to demand spousal support from her if she asked for child support from him since he has been out of work for the past 7 years.

Where did you get those numbers? i don't believe the first one at all.

My one SIL had 2 children by 2 African American men. Neither is still in their children's life. The younger one has never met his dad.

Actual stated numbers were 72% for black fathers, 59% for latino fathers and 37% for white fathers.

And another bright spot, look at the recommended articles at the bottom of the same page. Tests show students least knowledgeable in U.S. history. I see a new slogan, "We're ignorant and we vote." :woo hoo:
