The shame is that he decided suicide would be a positive step, especially in a way that will no doubt traumatize those that had to witness his selfish act.

Improvise, adapt and overcome. The Army teaches that to every soldier it trains. They say that no battle plan survives the first five minutes of combat. So your people on the ground had better be able to think for themselves. Taking casualties in war is just an occupational hazard. Taking casualties and not accomplishing your mission is a disaster. After 21 years of Army service, I am pretty good at improvising.

Bullsh**. I'm sure that the definition of 'overcome' does not include leaving scortch marks on the obstacle in front of you to try and prove your point.

Excellent Post. It is interesting that the mainstream media never seems to touch issues like this.

The judicial system in cases like this is an absolute disaster. This reminds me a bit of what my brother went through. A terribly unfair, and inefficient system where men often have no recourse and certainly no justice.

After not being allowed to see his boys for over 9 years my brother was faced with questions from what were now young men, "Why didn't you ever come to see us?". What do you say when the ex-wife has all of the power, full support of a failed judicial system, and worst of all, tells children their father doesn't care about them?

I don't know what he said to them, but he gave 2 of the boys about 9 years worth of Christmas cards and Birthday cards that were returned by their mother. In my opinion, his ex-wife stole part of those kids' lifes by never allowing them to see their father, and the judicial system is just as guilty for what was done to these boys.
