That was pretty good Wayne. I like both of these guys. Chris Wallace Fox News Sunday is reasonably good though definitely slated right and The Daily Show is hilarious and definitely slated left.
I finally had a chance to watch it all. Thanks for the link Wayne.
When I first loaded it, the top video window was blank, so I watched the second window. I soon realised it was from last year. Stewart was basically saying how much he respected Chris Wallace.
But now I watched the full 24 minute recent video. It was great! We don't see much of that real back and forth stuff much anymore.
In this case, Wallace had all the questions and videos. And I was really impressed about how Stewart handled his questions, since he didn't know what to prepare for. Stewart is someone I respect. Wallace too.
Wallace didn't do so bad either. Too bad he has that "smirk" which Bill Clinton grabbed on unfairly.
If I judge that video, I'd say it was a great give and take. Both those guys can communicate well, and we don't see much of that on TV anymore. But to be truthful I didn't care for the way Wallace handled it. Too much attack mode stuff for me in the first half, and now I see much more clearly he's a consevative, more than I knew before (doesn't even know or care much about South Park, lol ) not that there is anything wrong with that. But Stewart does that too on his show from the liberal standpoint.
Anyway, I'd like to see more of that real discussion rather than the blather and talking over we see so much on cable TV.

I agree, but the main difference between the two, which Stewart tried to make clear to Wallace, was that Stewart does his shows and his bias for comedic affect. Wallace seemed to not really understand that, trying to paint The Daily Show as a serious news show. It's not.
I was impressed with how Stewart handled the attacks. He clearly thinks before talking, understands his own viewpoints and will admit his biased position.
Wallace admitted his bias as well, but phrased it "We're a counterpoint to ...". Wallace can be a pretty funny guy and I think he was hoping for some good comedic back and forth in the interview.
Yeah, that was pretty interesting that he admitted that FauxNews isn't about "fair & balanced"...(Who knew?!?)...but about providing the (right-wing) counterpoint to what they see is liberal bias... (There must be at least 3 people in South Dakota and 1 in Arkansas that are slapping their heads and screaming, "No way???????")
Is it better to admit you are biased or a counter to the liberal media? Or do you prefer a media that actively denies a bias even though 90% of them voted for Dems in the last election?
Olberman was suspended from his program for a few days last year because he supported a candidate. I think he shouldn't have been. He should be allowed to proudly say which party he supports and admit his bias.

Agreed, then why is he (jon) given the time of day? He's a joke & a clown, why does ANYBODY that him in the least bit seriously?
