I know among my generation of parents 30's & 40's, there is much less concern about the kid's grades, or helping them to learn the material, and many more are defending their children instead of supporting the teachers on discipline.
I hear many more parents whining that their kids are getting too much homework versus that the kids aren't learning enough.
