I hate taxes, but I think it is time to own up, screw whatever party you are from or even mentioning it.

THE NATIONAL DEBT DIVIDED BY THE NUMBER OF INCOME TAX PAYERS IS......

$500,000 per person. This is how much you owe on behalf of your govt. Now if you are married and both working, call it an even million. At a reasonable, soon to be nonexistent residential mortgage interest rate, that would be about $7000 a month for each person working for 30 years to just pay for the past, nothing for now or the future.

How about we need to raise taxes and cut programs for a long time and MAYBE, it will make a difference. And to those supposed conservative republicans, is it not supposed to be cool to pay your own way...the longer we put off taxing, the longer we wait till we pay for the stuff that we all (pre 2011 USA) wanted and put in place with our govt. I hate taxes, but even worse is not paying my own way, I have been voting and vocal for many years, I own this war, this economy and our whole system, even if I don't like it personally, I built it and allowed it to continue, as did all of you. Don't put this off, let's each find a way to tax every taxpayer an additional $500,000 and pay this off.

The action plan is actually very clear...simply open up your family budget and add a $7000 mortgage payment for each wage earner per month and decide how you will deal with it...we need to the that very same thing as a nation.

Seem crazy, well that is why we need to slash programs, and then slash some more. There is no choice, there is little need for debate. We have been debating for dozens of years only to allow one group to spend more money that the other, it does not make more money appear. This is your labor, your land and your children that have been leveraged.

So I ask, in 3 sentences, can you describe how you would deal with an additional $7000 per month obligation in your household? Really, in so many ways this is not a test, esp for those of you with kids?

Now remember, 50% of Americans don't pay any taxes so now the other 50% have to pay $14,000 more per month!

I can't remember who said it or exactly how it goes...but I do know it goes something like this:

"Socialism works GREAT until you run out of other people's money to spend."

That pretty much sums it up.

A quote attributed to Margaret Thatcher goes along the lines of

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money [to spend]."
or

"Eventually, Socialists run out of other peoples' money [to spend]."
There are a number of similar almost-quotes to be found on the Web, but I haven't found any authoritative sources. She may, in fact, have made the statement in various forms at different times. QuicksilverT @ 15:44, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Update: Margaret Thatcher, in a TV interview for Thames TV This Week 1on Feb. 5, 1976, Prime Minister Thatcher said, "...and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They [socialists] always run out of other people's money. It's quite a characteristic of them."

The popular version seems to be a reasonable contraction.

And I am SOOO F'n tired of Libs playing the race card! This congresswoman is the worst racist in congress! She doesn't say they were all racist against Bush when every single Democrat voted against the debt ceiliing in 2006. Why didn't she say they were racist against him? Anyone that uses race needs to be kicked out of office! They are the ones continuing to try and divide this country on race!

I just wish so many black Americans would stop being so racist. Why can't we just all get along like Ebony and Ivory? Living in perfect harmony?

"'The Dirtiest Campaign You Have Ever Seen' Begins
by Ed Driscoll
....................................................Get used to it — as we saw in 2008, 2009, 2010 and at the start of the year, this will be tone from the president's self-described "non-official campaign" surrogates in the MSM and the Professional Left (but I repeat myself) for the next year and a half.

Related: "'Obama has put the 'bully' back in the bully pulpit,' Gingrich told reporters Friday afternoon," Stacy McCain writes at the American Spectator. He'll have plenty of additional muscle — rhetorical, and possibly otherwise — from his supporters in the coming months. http://pajamasmedia.com/eddriscoll/2011 ... en-begins/

I think the blow back will make them pull it back at some point but I have no idea what they will try and replace it with.

I don't believe this number is accurate. It could be you are talking about unfunded future promises, but this is not the share of the 14 Trillion. Each American's share of the debt was $48K last time I saw the number.

If you want to be, press one. If you want not to be, press 2

Facts are irrelevant to those who combine arrogance with ignorance, or... is it when they are arrogant about their ignorance? Both seem to be a right ring trait these days... :Whistle :VeryScared:
