Absolutely, which is why we need to let the tax cuts for the wealthy expire and close the tax loopholes that allow big corps to make windfall profits and pay very low taxes. They have benefitted too long from the borrowing of money to support them when they did not need supporting.

You Kool Aid drinkers are like a broken record. You will never understand economics. You keep repeating that it should mostly be on the shoulders of those who are already paying almost 40% of our entire revenue to fix our economy. You want to raise taxes to add to our revenue maybe 2% more. THAT is your big strategy? Why can't you people understand that at least 95% of our problem is SPENDING!! :bash :bash

Hiring people for goverment who think goverment is the solution for everything leads to massive overspending.
I prefer a balance of each. And like a wave, right now the fiscal conservatives have more power. It could and may change back in 2012. But clearly the Dems need to "triangulate" like Clinton did after his second term. Will Obama continue to tack to the right?
