The American dream is fading fast.

Isn't that the plan? We need the stock market to crash, and wipe out the wealth of the rich, so we can have equal distribution of wealth. Then we can start over.

It's not the rich that get wiped out....it's the middle class and their dreams of one day retiring on something more than just SS, or sending their kids to college without enormous college loans. What made you think only the wealthy invest?

80% of the stock market is owned by 20% of the population, hence the wealth distribution. Those are just the plain facts Archer. The quickest way to achieve the wealth equality you all want will be to wipe everyone out of wealth and start over.

The average person doesn't even have $1000 in emergency savings and lives for the next payday, how are they going to buy stocks?

I suspect the little guy is getting fed up with the stock market, down 600, up 400, down 500 day after day. Its getting too crazy thanks to micro-management by the government and FED.

So all that talk of people's 401k's getting wiped out, seniors going back to work because their investments no longer cover their living expenses.....that's all a big fiction? Am I the only middle class senior using investments to augment social security? I don't think so, since every one of my neighbors in AZ has a stock portfolio, and we discuss the market all the time. I don't think we are the exception.

I'm guessing that's due to speculators, making day money by going short or long, not the government. But what do I know.

Gee, the last time the market dived like this .... Obama was President ...and the time before ...Muslims crashed into the Pentagon and the Twin Towers.... it appears....that Obama has crashed his economic tower of capitalism...the U.S.of A.
