What accompishments will Obama run on?

If he tries that again, he'll fail. People that are able to set aside their undying devotion for anything the Democrats say or do and look at the situation realistically realize that the republicans were trying to push for more cuts rather than just giving Obama free run in the fiscal candy store.

'Course you wouldn't know about that, as you are completely unable to view politics without a partisan filter.

He will have had 4 years of pretty much total failure and will have to run on his OWN record and the shape of America today. Any ideas what you think his campaign will be?

I am sure the libs will say anything is better than a Republican, but seriously, I would love people to name what you think he can be proud of and run on. And since 55% want Obamacare overturned and now it came out yesterday that they skewed the numbers by not adding family costs in and only sigle people, it will actually end up costing Americans ANOTHER $500 billion over 10 years. That is on top of the estimates of costing us between $1 and $1.5 trillion already, so I don't think he will run on that.

Will it just be scare tactics for senior citizens? And how will he get the black, latino, and 18-29 year olds back on board when he has done the least for them and this economy has hit them the hardest? And they all voted pretty heavily for him. And the Independents only have a 31% approval rate for him now. So what can he possibly run on? Many Dems are even making a push to get Hillary to run against him so they are even turning against him. And Reid said today that many Dems are having buyers remorse. So I wouldn't want to be his campaign manager for anything!

Obama and W.'s 2nd term seem very similar to me. Both were presidents during a very bad economy, while the citizens are stupid enough to look to the president to fix it, or even blame him. Both managed to avoid another 9-11, this was was touted for almost 7 years in regards to W. and Obama has now "managed" the same rate of 9-11 style attacks, though I guess under the standard thinking we can blame W. for the original 9-11, right. Obama should get similar credit for saving us from all those things that did not happen (of course this sounded silly at the time, but I assume all those that like Bush for this reason and also like Obama). They both spend sh*t-tons of public money, Obama you expected it a little more. Bush did it too, only we put another spin on it. Bush started two useless wars, Obama continued them. Keep in mind when kids get in trouble, often the "who started it" question was asked, knowing full well that if no one starts something, there may be no fight at all.

I guess we should keep talking about it, but the debate about which party has the worse reputation or pole numbers seems kinda silly. For every Obama is at 31% there are 3 articles out there about how the GOP has no viable candidate. And despite all of this, all the damage by both parties and the know damage if we elect either of them back in, most will vote for either one, but not alternatives and they will let the media brainwash them into thinking they are right for a few weeks till we on get on and bitch about the next Obama/Bush/Clinton/Reagan (which are really not much different AT ALL). Some will even perpetuate the myths that Reagan and Clinton did good jobs (hahahaha) and that one I already mentioned where when we look to them for much of anything besides national defense, we have given up already.

All the GOP candidates seem to have their extreme liberal streak, Bachman with her need for public funds to buy a home, Romney started "Obama" care, that passed in the legislature by the way (many more than Obama to blame for the coming bad economy as a result, yes it can get worse, it can go below zero). All on both parties represent Verizon, not you.

Bottom line, Obama will run on on the same thing that convinced all the R's that kept the wars going with Bush....IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. This country is being ruined by many people spending money they did not earn, either through debt (to much credit card, mortgage, etc.) and through their politicians (taxes, fees, all those parents consuming $10,000 per kid per year of their neighbors money - again with no thank yous). This economy is unlikely to play out the way it is if you were spending mostly your own money you cared about. When you spend borrowed or other people's money, you don't care that much. Fairplay schools when everyone gets lied to about the funding and we split it over everyone and 30 years, PASS....Fairplay schools when a few dozen families that actually benefit from it have to pay themselves or go on welfare, FAIL.

Each party will try to elect the wrong candidate for the wrong reasons.

"He does not have Bush's record to run on" who would want this record?...this is the kind of statement you make trying to convince R's to be R's, congrats. Bush's record was not good, this is pretty much universally accepted (do a pole or look one up). This will turn out to be one of the lowest points in US history, if not the end of it. Really, think about it, Bush's legacy is that we can now consider the final days of this country, before Bush, this seemed like an impossibility, so Bush's record is that he made us more accepting of the end of our country, who would want this record? We were do desperate about how bad these Wars made America, we swooped a black man into the office of the president because he gave people hope they would stop. So I guess you are right in the sense that he has lost the hope card. But the republicans did not pick it up, they provide no hope...and hope is actually what makes the world go 'round...even if it is hope for money. Both parties have pretty much erased the hope of most people that they will get ahead or even keep their house. Failure all around.

Obamacare will be considered an accomplishment by many of his base. The funny thing is it is all still smoke and mirrors since people still aren't living under Obamacare, jus the taxes to fund it.

More accomplishments? He has supported the Bush foreign policy and current wars and even expanded our presence in Afghanistan rather than cutting and running like he campaigned on.

We almost got Omar Gaddafi.

(CNSNews.com) -- Eighty percent of Muslim Americans approve of the way Barack Obama is handling his job as president, according to a newly released survey conducted by the Abu Dhabi Gallup Center, a partnership between Gallup and the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi.

Trade Deficit in U.S. Unexpectedly Widens
The U.S. trade deficit unexpectedly increased in June to the highest level since October 2008 as a slump in exports exceeded a decline in shipments from overseas.

The gap widened 4.4 percent to $53.1 billion from $50.8 billion in the prior month, Commerce Department figures showed today in Washington. The deficit exceeded all estimates in a Bloomberg News survey of economists in which the median was $48 billion. Exports declined the most since January 2009.

Well,let's see....

The Health Care Reform Bill was passed and will be implemented under his watch. Regardless of what you may think about it, many people will have health coverage that were previously denied or could not afford it.

By the time the elections roll around, he will be close to finally ending Bush's wars.

He will take credit for keeping us out of a depression.

He reduced taxes for many of the middle class.

Ended the "Don't ask, Don't tell" gay policy in the military.

Appointed two women to the Supreme Court, one of which is the first Latino SC Justice ever.

Oh, yeah, Obama got Osama.

He did? Do they have video of that? I thought it was because of intelligence gathered though many things put in place in the previous several years and I thought navy Seals got Osama. Why didn't Obama say he killed Osama? Did he use a gun or a golf club to kill him?
