Is this what our elected representatives are suppose to do, and do you agree with Carson's claim that the Tea Party members would like to see blacks hanging from trees? Really? Were is the proof, and does this just make racial tensions even greater?

"This is the effort that we're seeing of Jim Crow," Carson said. "Some of these folks in Congress right now would love to see us as second-class citizens."

He went on, "Some of them in Congress right now of this Tea Party movement would love to see you and me ... hanging on a tree."

I guess this a good way to keep the racial divide alive and well.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

It doesn't occur to you to question WHY he feels that way, what is it about the Tea Party movement that might give him that impression?

Nah.....didn't think so.

Carson is a liberal mouth peice for the obama admin! Obama is losing a lot of his base, so attack the tea party, blame them for his poor showings, I think carson and waters should worry about no jobs in their districts...

Itdoesn't occur to you that lying hatefull rhetoric that is not based in reality could be harmful to an already inflamed problem? Nah, didn't think so.

Why not justify his words with some factual evidence instead of attacking the messenger as usual?

FACTOID: 1. Democrats encouraged slavery and passed discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws 2. Democrats started the KKK 3. Democrats fought AGAINST every civil rights/antislavery law beginning with Emancipation Proclamation, 13th Amendment, and ALL civil rights laws from 1860's to 1960's (including, by majority %, the 1964 Civil Rights Act). Yet, the TEA Party is racist? Mr. Carson needs a history lesson; his abject buffoonery is UNBECOMING of a congressman…

And this ancient history has what to do with the intent of the Tea Party today? I just don't see the logic in your assertion that Democrats were racist in the past therefore the Tea Party is not racist today. Without agreeing to your premise...I just don't see how one follows another. Please don't tell me you think conservatives have never embraced racism.

I thought that abject buffoonery was a requirement to become a congressman.

Anybody that says the Tea Party groups are racists really doesn't have a clue. They are falling into the "if you question or object to Obama you are a racist" pit. This Carson and most of the CBC are just whipping up the fever hoping to rally the vote, and discredit anyone who associates with any TP group. It's an old tactic. They will play the race card over and over and over until the November 2012 election.

I think it was Archer that asked if someone else had been elected president instead of Obama would still there be the Tea Party Movement. It’s un-provable of course but I believe there still would be the Tea Party Movement, if the government was still spending it’s self into oblivion and trying to control more and more of our lives. The Tea Parties are not about a certain individual being in the Oval Office.
