51% Expect Major Political Uprisings in U.S. in Next Ten Yr

I think people fear others more than they believe that themselves will take to the streets. I read on one right wing forum that they expect African-Americans to riot if President Obama isn't reelected. Once again, I don't see it.

I agree that the system is flawed. The money flow has to be cut off.

I do not see a racial uprising. However, I'm part of that 51 % - looking at it from an historical perspective as well.

It's something to be prepared for, certainly. Keeping a decent stock of food, firewood, and armaments might just keep us up the mountain folks a bit safer.

I believe people will find a reason to assault other people....the easiest way for the politically illiterate is to attack by the skin of the color. That's why we have seen an uptick in the racial attacks in the major downtown cities. We have generated three generations of citizens who EXPECT the government to take care of all their problems and when the government CAN'T or SHOULDN'T - those expecting become hornets in a nest. It doesn't help when the President of the US stirs up the hornets by saying the rich "not paying their fair share" will create hardship on those "getting their unfair share."

There is little doubt that there is an internal struggle in America - the struggle to remain free from government and the struggle for the government to give up more free cash to its laziest citizens. I prefer to remain free from government and not willing to give up my cash for the government to give to someone else.

As I drive around in parts of the Denver metro, I continue to see the degrading of this great American West city into a third world city. Too often now, the illegals and other immigrants just walk across the street without going to the crosswalk - a trait seen in third world nations. English is a foreign language. No reinvestment in certain parts of the metro area because their is plenty of demand for cheap run down apartments/homes by the section 8 recipients, illegal and immigrant population.

In America, our forefathers paid an expensive price for our freedom; however, too many Americans want freedumb. Freedumbs are budding socialist followers. Leading down the dumb down tracks for freebies.

At some point they will realise it and go postal.

Interesting...I see the Tea Party Republicans the same way. They have gone so far to the extreme right that they will render themselves irrelevant. Most Americans are neither extreme right nor extreme left. When the Tea Party added the far right wing social and religious agenda to their economic message they lost a lot of support.

The left had control and they failed...how many years do we "hope" the problems are going to "change" ? It's time for a new driver and put the left in the back seat for a whiile.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

RT - I'll giveyou some of that, for sure. Of course, I'm oneof those cross the street wherever folks - born here and you don;t get much whiter.

Could be the uprisings will start as racial - think of the Watts riots and so forth. yeah, it is going to start in the poorer neighborhoods that are predominantly minorities. But I think it will quickly spread from there, making the city a serious battlezone in all areas, an d places like Cherry Creek and Highlands Ranch are going to find themselves targets of the poor, armed and disgruntled of all races.
