Solyndra: Bankrupt Solar Company A Republican Problem Too

14 Sep 2011 10:53 #11 by FredHayek
lol Sounds just like Obama's bitching about offshore drilling. The Bushies who regulated oil wells are all corrupt and don't monitor correctly, but let's not change things, we will just gnash teeth instead. And blame the companies instead of the goverment regulators who weren't doing their job.

Obama's people aren't properly investigating this company even though they keep passing more regulations, they just keep handing them more money.

"Bah, green energy is good."

If the DOE was the watcher of the loan given to Solyndra, how legal is it that individuals working in the DOE with this "deal" also invested in the company? Explain how this is right?

Now we see the Obama administration renegotiated the original terms of the loan to Solyndra and put the taxpayers in second place to the private investors for recovering any money...

Republicans also charged that the administration broke the law under the Energy Policy Act, which prohibits the government from subordinating a taxpayer-backed loan to loans by private investors. The administration agreed last fall to restructure the loan and to put taxpayers in line behind an additional $75 million ponied up by private investors.

So the way I'm seeing this, what's left of the taxpayer's $500 million will go to pay off the $75 million for the priviate investors. Sweet. :bash

Sorry, we have to use the Internet. We don't have a Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck or FoxNews to tell us what to think.
