I think Republicans are getting overconfident. Bush had bad poll numbers in his first term, but by the Dems choosing Kerry, people have to vote for "W".

I wonder if Gore would have run would it have turned out differently? Or Hilary? She had as much experience as Obama did. Maybe more because she had White House experience and knew what the job entailed.

I think Hillary had much more experience and would have been a much stronger leader than Obama. I disagree with her mostly but she would have at least shown some spine which is what the US used to be known for. It has to be killing her that a recent poll shows her to be the most popular politician we have.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
Glenn Beck posted a photo of him and Perry on Beck's FB page today. I was not prepared for the anti-Perry backlash from his fans. Most call Perry a neo-con.
If Hillary were the president now and the economy was the same, people would be wishing Obama had won, IMO. The economy would have dragged down her popularity numbers.
