Dem. Strategist Calls Herman Cain ‘Racist, Bigoted’

Democratic strategist Cornell Belcher says there is a media “double-standard” over Herman Cain saying blacks have been “brainwashed.” Belcher calls Mr. Cain a bigot and a racist and says this incident is a “teachable moment.”

CORNELL BELCHER, DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST: First of all, do you think you’re going to invite me on the show and then I’m not going to talk about the ridiculousness of that statement? Two things. One is a great way to sort of get people on your side and win voters is to attack their intelligence.

So great job there. Really sensible, Herman Cain.

The second part here is, it’s really a teachable moment. You know, if I came on your show, Anderson, and I said, all Jewish people are brainwashed, I probably wouldn’t be invited back to CNN and I assure you the condemnation would be swift and it’d be powerful and be strong.

What Herman Cain said was a racist, bigoted statement and it should treated like a racist and bigoted person who makes those racist and bigoted statements.

Remember when Palin burst on the scene? She scared them so they mercilessly attacked and degraded her. He scares them. In his words, " I am a Real Black Man".

Has anyone told this person that Herman Cain is black? I suppose that Bill Cosby was also being racist a few years ago whenever he addressed the solution to problems that blacks face.
Surely a black person can discuss the problems with which his race is dealing without being called a racist..............or did he mean to say "Uncle Tom"?

WWGBD....

What would Glenn Beck do? Seems to me I remember someone else who called a black politician a "racist"... Where was the outrage then?

Insert standard "Oh, that was different" b.s. here: __________________________

Please elaborate. I do not know what WWGBD might be. And I do not know the significance of the Glenn Beck reference.

(Please remember that a racist thinks that one race is superior to another race.)

You just can't make this stuff up...

Cain: Perry ‘insensitive’ for ‘N*ggerhead’ ranch sign

Herman Cain on Sunday slammed fellow Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry over a sign on his ranch that used a racial slur.

The Washington Post reported Saturday that in the early years of political career, Perry had hosted hunting parties at his family’s ranch, a place known as “N*ggerhead.”

A sign bearing that name had been at the entrance of the ranch when Perry’s father painted over it in the 1980s.

“That is very insensitive,” Cain told ABC’s Christian Amanpour Sunday. “There are some words that do not basically inspire the kind of negativity like that particular word. I know that you are refraining from saying that word so I’m going to say what the word was on the rock — the name of the place was called ‘N*ggerhead.’”

Rick Perry disputes Washington Post story on slur

The following statement was issued by Ray Sullivan, communications director, RickPerry.org, Inc.

"A number of claims made in the story are incorrect, inconsistent, and anonymous, including the implication that Rick Perry brought groups to the lease when the word on the rock was still visible. The one consistent fact in the story is that the word on a rock was painted over and obscured many years ago.

I agree, it is a bad tactic but I believe it is more than counterbalanced by all the slurs directed at the tea party.

Hat tip to whatervergreen for the compilation and the vitriol.

Whatevergreen wrote: Sounds like somebody needs to call a Wambulance for you Neptune. This is only the 5th thread you started in just one week where you try to play the "Tea Party as Victim" card. Forget calling you teabaggers. You can now be called the Pit-tea Party.

Maybe the 285Bound Roadcrew can compost all the threads below into one steaming pile and you could actually have 2 pages of comments. You are cluttering up the site with all your whining Skippy.

Cain is anti Italian, would he name he company "sambo fried chicken"? I think not. To name his restaurant chain after a mafia movie is "insensitive". Plus his pizza sucks , how can you screw up bread, cheese, sauce and fatty pork? He managed it.

Cain had nothing to do with the naming of the pizza chain. It was named by founder, William Theisen.
