Joe the Plumber for Congress

It amazes me that a guy asks Obama one question and now people think he's qualified to run for office, without even knowing what he stands for on the issues.

Like the way Obama was nominated for President based on one speech at the 2004 DNC convention via teleprompter instead of actual experience? Lets elect a President without a record.

Campaigns usually help to expose people like Don Maes, unless the press loves you like Barack.

Until they found out about his background. He lost quite easily to Hickenlooper once the facts came out.

I know some people hate long campaigns, but one of the benefits of a long campaign, voters get more info about the candidates.

Would that be "actual experience" like 'Herb' Cain? Sharron Angle? Christine O'Donnell?

I just hope the GOP keeps throwing out these goofballs to run for office that are unelectable. Jus' keep doin' what yer doin'....

Cain has more executive experience than Obama brought to his campaign in '08 - heck, he's got more executive experience than Obama has right now or will have when election day comes in 2012. Political experience, not so much, but more executive experience without a doubt.

According to Rush today, Cain doesn't have a chance and the nominee will be Romney.

The fat one has spoken.

That's probably the most sane thing Rush has said in the last 4 years.

Given what all those experienced elected officials on the democratic and republican side have done for the country, Joe the plumber may not be so bad after all. You actually have to be trained to screw over people and put idiotic laws up for proposal. You do not have to be trained for rational thought. You only need to be smart, learn how to listen and act with the nation's people as your guide.

There we have it... The new "requirements for President": You only need to be smart, learn how to listen and act with the nation's people as your guide.

Experienced, knowledgeable, educated...need not apply. My, my...but the conservative race-to-the-bottom is accelerating.

Did I say president? NO. I think we are talking about Joe the Plumber running for a seat in Congress, or am I mistaken? But I probably am since you are such a bright and educated individual, it's impossible to stick to a particular point because you couldn't launch into a vitriolic diatribe of your own controversial creation. Did I say you can't be with an education? Smart people get an education along the way of life.. just as good as those who go to university. Experience with what? Bilking people out of every cent they have, sending money overseas, etc. etc.? Knowledgeable about what? Life and being able to organize projects so they get done efficiently or political savvy, meaning how to lie, cheat and slander your opponent? Oh, another requisite might be wisdom, something direly missing with Obama. Yea, the upshot likely would be we'd get people in congress who did not know all the tricks of the trade, would not just vote for social programs that were not properly budgeted, and all the rest of the creative BS that our government is now doing. Clearly that is what you want.. you can have it. Your way of thinking brings this nation to this knees. And when it comes to races to the bottom, you liberals have won that hands down by a mile.

And just to make my point about eduction. Steve Jobs did not have a college education. His only asset was being smart, real smart. Yet he became a leader, that our nation could only hope to have.
