The reason why this has become public- is that the USA is amping up the propaganda against Iran. They are preparing the war apparatus to gear up for a conflict against Iran. Some are saying that the whole story is a fabrication. Who knows what the truth is.
We will hear more stuff like this in the future. I say we don't need another war right now- let the saudi's take care of their own problems, we can sell them the bombs and bullets- maybe trade them for some oil.
a) I figure it's a set-up
b) I have little empathy for Iran's leadership (they are known for their provocative habits)
c) Iran's response (as reported) is so hysterical, it seems ludicrous.
d) I'm sure there's people all over who want war with Iran - and I figure they're powerful, and will get their wish.
Whatevergreen wrote: Since the threat was actually against the Saudis, let's let them throw the first strike or give them time to address this situation in their part of the world . We really don't need another reason to waste more money on the war machine.
As much as I do agree with you on this, but your comment about the war machine, so tell me what is this so called war machine, the troops, we sure as hell do not waste money on them, maybe it is the equipment the troops use to attempt to stay safe and or fight back, so please enlighten me.
The United States does not need another conflict right now or in the future. Let those countries that Iran wants to try to screw with deal with them. If it is true, Saudi has enough fire power right now to take them out. Iran needs to go away, but let those in the Middle East and Europe do it. About time they grow a pair and start standing up on thier own
Anyone who has monitored the muddle east in recent years knows that gulf countries have amassed a huge inventory of military machinery.
There's a minor problem though --- they have the equipment, but they still don't have skilled personnel (you can read about the UAE's Etihad A340 crash to get a flavor of the problem).
I suspect the GCC countries will initiate hostilities, and then call on the US to mop up.
With bases in Iraq, Bahrain, Afghanistan, the UAE, and (shh) Diego Garcia - the US will have plenty of assets in the region to ensure the proper side wins.
I still think its bullsh*T. Iran, as a nation, had no part in this IMO. There may have been elements inside Iran involved, but I seriously doubt that the story is as stated. Obama sees only one way to improve his poll numbers...
