That's what threw me off most about it! They picked an arbitrary number. There's no more safety or reason except that maybe people under 40 are "more likely" to be cooking meth, but even then it's just an excuse.

I'm going to add Walgreens to my list with Tipsy's, and maybe Wal-Mart if they start doing the same thing, or maybe badger has the right idea and my magnetic strip will just suddenly quit reading, weird how that can happen!

Don't forget that 2D barcode on the back. They can scan that, too.

You can take a magnet to the magnetic strip and obliterate the info on it.

No need to remove it.

Does anyone know what information the magnetic strip contains and why?

I dont know, but the kiosks at the airport can read them, and spit out a boarding pass

UH it got me to vegas, I didnt want to carry a passport. I was surprised, but it worked. I only use the passport for my many international excursions
