Democrats losing enthusiasm

"draws close"? it's still over a year away. Enthusiasm will probably depend on who the Republicans put up against Obama, if the candidate is particularly odious, then expect enthusiasm to rise

Who ever the r's put up will be cast as particularly odious. an Obama win with with massive r gains in the house and senate will not be to odious.

You have to admit, some are more odious than others. I won't get into my preferences (that would just open me up all kinds of harassment) but there are some R's I could live with and some who would make me go out and campaign loudly for Obama.

I think the Dems will villify whoever wins the nomination, but I do think Romney would steal more Dem votes than any of the other choices.

And I don't think Republicans are too excited either right now. SNL had a great skit where Romney was speaking at a town hall and the audience kept asking him to encourage Chris Christie to get into the race. Pretty funny.
