Herman Cain said in his speech today that the National Restaurant Association’s general counsel and the human resources department conducted an investigation into allegations about his conduct in the late-90s.
But the head of the association’s human resources department at the time said in an interview with POLITICO last week that she was unfamiliar with any complaints from female employees about Cain.
“No, I do not,” said Mary Ose, the former human resources chief, when asked if she was aware of allegations about Cain’s behavior.
When read Cain's direct quote today that she participated in the investigation she told Politico, "He didn't say that" and hung up.
Wow... Cain is even better at playing the "victim" card than Nmysys and Viking...
They just run the standard Clarence Thomas playbook...
1) I didn't do it.
2) Well, if a settlement was paid, I didn't know about it.
3) Well, I knew about it, but we didn't pay out as much as the original amount that was demanded.
4) I'm a victim, and being persecuted for all of this...
5) Blame the libs... (When, actually, it was probably one of the other GOP wingnuts that made sure it got leaked...)
