Friends........... and enemies- Don't be distracted by this dog and pony show, the candidates have already been determined. I said it last year and i'm gonna say it again. It's Romney vs Obama and Obama wins. Any further discussion is a complete waste of precious time and energy here on earth.

You republicans here look like fools, saps, and suckers. Especially Viking with his desperate hopes and dreams of a Rick Perry resurgance

Yea... right. And Obama's new vice-president will be Jullian Assange.

Obama fails all viability tests

By Dr. David Hill - 11/01/11 07:25 PM ET
Last week’s column asserting that the president is unelectable has triggered strong responses. Democrats, in particular, seem to think my judgment is premature. It strikes them as ridiculous that anyone could make such a “bold prediction” so far in advance of the 2012 election. Hey, that’s what we do, as seasoned political professionals, as pollsters. But I must stress that I am not so much making a personal prediction as drawing an informed conclusion based on all the numbers available. I do this in each election cycle for other candidates, and it’s time to make the call on President Obama.

{break}

So Obama fails on all counts. The numbers say that voters don’t think he deserves reelection, he has no meaningful accomplishments, and the nation is headed off in the wrong direction under his watch. He is simply not viable by any measure. That’s an empirically informed, hard-nosed judgment. This isn’t a movie or fantasy tale where a miracle occurs at the last moment to save the day. If Democrat campaign professionals don’t start acknowledging the same, and intervening, they risk Obama bringing down their entire ticket.

And with the left offering so much moral support to the Occupy movement, which has devolved into a morass of lawless socialist and anarchists, the Democrats are going to have a hard time wiping off the stink of that endorsement. Major fail coming up.

I think your prediction is right, although I do believe that the general election will be much closer than anyone currently predicts. Romney is the most dangerous candidate for Obama, since he is a centrist. Any of the other Republican candidates are just too extreme. Romney has a presence that many will find appealing, but I do think that there will be more than a few religious right folks that will never vote for a Mormon.

Oh come on... you know how EVERY conservative is a evil racist. There's not doubt that in order to get that uppity black man out of office, they would vote for Satan if he was on the GOP ticket. I know it's true because MSNBC told me so. :rofl

I'm really not too interested in the GOP candidates either, Ron Paul is the only one I really respect, and he doesn't have a chance. However, this is a political forum and its a valid subject for posts. It just doesn't interest me, so I don't read most of it. It would be great to see more general issue-based posts.

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.

Then what's stopping you from starting a new topic?

Dr. -I have started several generic topics on debit cards, Greece, oil prices, gold, taxes etc. They are mostly buried 4 pages down under all the noise. :)

No complaints here. But there does seem to be alot of noise, redundant topics, and daily drive-by cut/paste outrage posts that clutter up the board and get boring to me. JMO

None of them have a chance. Romney is socially akward, and the rest are freaks with absolutely no chance in a general election.
