Just curious if anyone can tell me. It seems to me that they have changed what they support in the last year or so. What are the key issues that they support when backing a candidate this election? It just seems to me like the Tea Party left me and went back to accepting a more moderate view over conservatism. So can anyone tell me what their views and beliefs are now?
If you go to TEA party meetings you can ask these questions and even have an influence on the policies they advance. You can't sit back and expect government to represent your views, you have to keep them front and center.
the movement was taken over by high dollar special interests as soon as they appeared. It is a shame because the original intent of fiscal responsibility was a sound platform. It seems to be all about social issues now instead of fiscal. From what I have seen, if you look at "tea party" candidates that are put up, they are more about continuing the social agenda (abortion and gay rights mainly). oh AND making money for those that "run" things
What tea party candidates are more concerned with a social agenda? What actions are tea parties taking which is making money for those who "run" things?
The TEA Party has been a little quiet lately. According to an interview I heard with one leader, they don't want to endorse anyone right now and splinter the different groups.
And those people who believe the TEA parties are under the thumbs of big money need to attend a meeting. They are all over the place on so many issues I don't see how you could control them.
It will be interesting to see if they try to primary any of the old guard Colorado Republican representatives. If they do support the status quo, they might be under the influence of the RNC.

Well they sure aren't supporting the most fiscally conservative candidates so it must be social issues. Which that doesn't make sense either because they are supporting the more socially moderate candidates too.
How do you know that the people whb are supporting guys like Cain are actually tea party members? How could you know this other than guessing? When people are callled to take a poll, do they have to state whether or not they are tea party members? Maybe they do but I doubt it.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
