Occupy Evergreen is Here

Breaking news- I just ran across the newest Occupy protest chapter- Occupy Evergreen!

Looks like there are two (2) protestors at the intersection of Hwy74 & Upper Bear Creek Road- one is holding a carboard sign that says "Greed Kills" and the other one has a sign that says "we are the 99%".

They look pretty cold- so if one of you liberals could- bring them a cup of fair trade coffee with natural cane sugar and non-rBGH cream- I'm sure they would appreciate it.

I'm thinking of joining them later with my Djembe so we can get a drum circle going. I'll post photo's.

See you all there!

:like: You are so thoughtful BearMtn! I can't believe you know all about non-rBGH coffee cream - are you sure you haven't been moonlighting with the OWS'rs? Don't forget the reusable ceramic mug or biodegradable paper cup!

Looking forward to those photos!

I have some very sad news to report-no sooner did I get my walmart bags unpacked and put away- I packed up the car with my Djembe and camera and raced back down to The Occupy Evergreen encampment- and the whole protest movement was gone.

Now- it's possible that they moved into Starbucks to warm up but it's much more likely that they were beaten down by the man- pepper sprayed and arrested. They are probably waiting for someone to bail them out of the Jeffco Jail- so if someone could check into that they won't have to spend the whole weekend locked up by those jack booted thugs.

The good news is that I did get a photo of the Occupy Evergreen encampment- sadly without the protestors. This is a 285bound exclusive photo.....
The two protestors were standing right there by the split rail fence.

Thanks for the ace reporting. Could it be that these protestors, both of them, may have been hitchhiking to another urban center instead of attempting to occupy Evergreen? If they intended to occupy Evergreen maybe they moved to a more central location? Either way the campsite seems pretty clean, maybe the snow is obscuring the refuse. I'm guessing that they got cold and went home but I don't have any proof of that either.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

I made a run through town and checked the usual places- like the 74 & 73 intersection- but no luck spotting the movement.

Either the Man picked them up and took them away, they caught a ride to someplace else, or they went home. In jail they'll get cleaned up, three meals a day, a climate controlled environment complete with a bed to sleep on, and lots of "enthusiastic companionship." With their own kind they are still running free and looking for the next place to occupy, pollute, and look for handouts while attempting to cope with the weather and cold temperatures. If mom and dad still let them in the house they probably have it pretty good.

On the surface of it jail doesn't sound as bad as protesting, except for the "enthusiastic companionship" part...
