Why? Have you personally had anything to do with the French. Have you lived in France, speak the language, know the culture or do you just repeat bigoted talking points that you heard in some bar?
I thought the part about what the unit does when officers were killed was interesting. Seems like there should always be a chain of command several layers down.
I never had any doubt we have the best trained military.

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
I have served with French, Germans, Brits, Italians, Spanish, Hungarians, Canadians, Aussies and Estonians in Afghanistan. What goes on there is, indeed, a brotherhood (and sisterhood) of Americans and Europeans (Canadians and Aussies too) working together on an extremely difficult mission. Is every day peaches and cream? Nope. You would be proud not only of your American troops but also how they and their NATO counterparts work together to get it done while policymakers and politicians back in their respective countries grapple with a way forward in this most difficult theater of war.
Someday someone will write a book about the good things NATO has done in Afghanistan. It's fascinating.
