Once upon a time the heros of children were people like George Washington, Thomas Edison, Billy Sunday, Abe Lincoln, Lindbergh, the Wright brothers, Henry Ford, etc. The schools never suspended children for imitating any of those men. It seems that the school system is now anti-American or unAmerican.
I think there's a difference between a football player and Washington, Lincoln, Edison, Lindbergh, Ford, the Wright Brothers. When TT actually does something to truly change the world, he can be compared to such great people. Until then, he's a entertainer/athlete. Period. He may be a front man lending his name for a group building a hospital for children, which is admirable, but he is not even close to your list above. Comparing him to those men is just proving the point that the Tebow mania is HYPE. Brought to you by one of the biggest image controlling corporations, the NFL. They are loving all of free publicity from this stuff.
And Billy Sunday was a hero that children imitated? I seriously doubt 99% of people have never heard the name and those that have are Deadheads.
