And you realize that Andrew Adler, who runs the orthodox Atlanta Jewish Times, who made the assassination comment is a conservative? DUH.

Ok... now that we have establish a few facts. What does "Some posters #1 news source reports,,," have to do with Huffington Post running an article about a conservative making a death threat against the President? That seems like something that left learning Huffington would normally publish. I'm totally missing your point here. Do you think you can clear that up for us? Your point that is? Or are you proud of a conservative making death threats against the President?

Crickets... no response from Martin.

Me thinks that Martin has made a fool of himself. He thought he was dumping on the liberals, by pointing out a story at a liberal website (Huffington's Post), which he assumed was about a liberal editor at a Jewish newspaper suggesting that the president should be assassinated. Instead the story was about a conservative editor at a orthodox Jewish newspaper suggesting that the president should be assassinated, and the story was being reported by a liberal new site, Huffington's Post.

I'm a conservative and I don't like to see conservatives bashed, but sometimes they deserve it when they make stupid, bigoted assumptions about people and their politics. Martin assumed that since this man was Jewish, worked for a Jewish newspaper and suggested that "the president should be assassinated" and because the incident was being reported by a liberal news source, Martin assumed that the man was a liberal.

And what bothers me most is the bigotry and anti-Jewish sentiment we have hidden among some of the conservatives on 285 Bound. Good job Martin.

While I commend your open mindedness and willingness to call out people on 285bound for negative opinions of people just for their group rather than their actions (calling out the closet Nazi scum if they are really here)...and the continued use of the phrase "me thinks"...but I am not understanding the middle part about being a conservative and not liking to see conservatives bashed....I would just think that you would no longer include someone who condoned what he did condone if reports are accurate (I worry about even typing it) in your group, that perhaps there should be a recognition that those that condone murder, of anyone, don't belong in your party? Doing so not only weakens your party but the concept of parties as they can become teams more and more and have less and less to do with issues. I just figured murderers and those that condone this are people we generally distance ourselves from as good people of any political group?

You left the part "and among some of the liberals also"

And I doubt that Martin assumed anything as I know the man. Could it be he just had other things to do. Or just maybe he was making a point how the huffington Post likes to go after conservatives but rarely do they like to go after their own. Either way does it really matter. This idiot (don't care what side he is on) made a threatening statement towards the President of the United States. As much as I dont care for the President(and the rest of Congress both sides), I would defend him against such acts, we (Americans) are better than that, at least I would hope so, no one should be making comments like that, I don't really care what your politically side is. By law he can be arrested and tried for threating the President. He would not be the first one to do so, while Obama has been President. The last incident that I know of before this, was in 2010. Also just for simple information, I am not defending Martin, he is very capable of doing it himself.

Threatening the President of the United States is a class D felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871. It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States

We are not talking about liberal in this article... are we? So mentioning that there are anti-jewish liberals doesn't change my point one bit... does it? Nor does mentioning that there are anti-jewish liberals help make your point at all. And guess what, you can make all the excuses for Martin if you want, but Martin posted two other comments on this thread and had all the opportunity to clarify himself. He didn't.

So I can assume that what I said was correct.
