He never stops being president, even when on vacation. The work goes with him.....the difference is a change of venue for himself and his family. Bush turned Crawford into the western white house.....Reagan did the same with his ranch......anywhere Obama is he still has the responsibilities as president........how really petty of those of you who would begrudge him as much of a vacation as he is able to manage given the position he holds. What would you suggest he do? Is there some particular reason you think the man shouldn't get vacations? Your congress-critters get far more time out of Washington DC, are you complaining about them too? How did you feel about Bush spending so much time in Crawford? Really....what's your beef? You don't seem to like what he does when he's in the White House.....then you whine about him when he isn't there...
You're wasting your time... It was the outrage-of-the-day on FauxNews, and the mindless Kool-Aid drinkers have been told what to be outraged about for the next couple of days. The fact that other presidents did the same thing, and racked up even longer times and more trips is irrelevant.
Yeah, I know. But it is such fun to get the conservative posters here to justify themselves and their outrages over nonsense like this, and they take the bait every time. I have a puppy like that......

Obama has more vacation days than anyone I know. Plus he has only been on the job 2 1/2 years.
But hey , when you are a rock star, all you have to do is perform. Play golf, basketball, and make sure Momma is happy.

I have to agree with Archer here, a Presidential vacation these days isn't like a normal civvie vacation. Do you get 3 hours of briefings every morning from your workplace when you are on vacation? I know a few people who will spend an hour or two on work stuff on vacation, like my wife, but the President does even more.
Pre-Truman Presidents probably could have real vacations before the cold war and the threat of nuclear war made keeping abreast of foreign threats a priority.
