The Denver Anarchist Black Cross exists to contribute to the defense of social movements, both internally and externally, working against oppression and for self determination.
Perhaps... But since the people that hate minorities, elderly, homeless, and all the other groups just keep going more and more to the right, and solidifying their hate with every passing day...Just wait a couple of weeks... It'll fit....
But watching "compassionate conservatism" in action has become a spectator sport...
That word hate drives me nuts. Your statement sure has alot of judgement in there. You know that I don't agree with everything the right does and yes there are wingnuts but not all and personally anarchy is not my style of fixing problems.
Y'know, after awhile, I get tired of the Right blaming the homeless, the sick, the youth, the seniors, the help centers for drugs and disabilities, and any other community services for their own demise, and for being the "cause" of their financial ills...Hell, for even having to pay ANY taxes at all.
(Now, because I know someone will, [not necessarily you], but: Insert standard 'socialist' line here: _________________________________)
LJ, there has got to be a middle ground here. Do I believe that we should have a society without any help for our poor, elderly, etc.? NO WAY. And, in my view, you cannot expect the system to not be flawed to where people don't take advantage of the it either. That is no reason to do away with these programs.
What I object to is the broad brushes and extreme statements about conservatives and liberals. It is not right to believe every single conservative is a uncaring psychopath. Just as it is inaccurate in every way to believe people that are Democrats are pot smoking atheists. This is just as bad as racism and is the same thing in my book.
There are wingnuts on both sides but liberals do not have the market on caring. JMO
