Why I Voted Democrat (or Republican)

I'm sure this has been posted somewhere before and my liberal friends will take lots of time debunking the points made but what the heck. I would welcome a similar list written about voting Republican...but for now, in the spirit of another election season. Let's have a little fun.

12 REASONS TO VOTE DEMOCRAT

When your family or friends cannot explain why they voted Democrat, give them this list. Then they can then pick a reason from this "TOP 12".

1. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

2. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

3. I voted Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

4. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

5. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away in ten years if I don't start driving a PiousPrius.

6. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

7. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away the social security from those who paid into it.

8. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats see fit.

9. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

10. I voted Democrat because I think that it's better to pay billions to people who hate us for their oil, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher or fish.

11. I voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most wonderful country in the world, I was promised "HOPE AND CHANGE".

12. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my "bottom", it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

There is SOME truth in the things posted above whether my liberal Democrat friends are willing to admit it or not. If not, please feel free to return to the posture demonstrated in Point 12. rofllol

Some of our lefty friends will come on and point out that they don't think that way, then why are you still voting Dem?

Where does lionshead2010 say he's voting Democratic (or say he ever voted Democratic)? This is a list of 12 sarcastic reasons to vote Democratic, it's satire, why would you suggest that anyone would confuse this with lionshead2010 voting record? I think you are confused.

No, you are the one who is confused, I recognize the satire. But like most humour, there are grains of truth in the OP.

Ok... where is the grain of truth... "then why are you still voting Dem"? Point that out for me? Where/when/what/how did Lion say to imply he votes Dem? I'll wait for that grain of truth.

The grain of truth? Dems are more likely to be demonstrating against capital punishment outside a prison at midnight than picketing an abortion clinic. There are some pro-life Dems out there, but they are the minority.

I support homosexual marriage and rights, think legal abortions are in the best interest of society, and I wouldn't want to be near you, much less your blood.

Were you retired? Or forced out because you don't work well with others?
