I know Rush and the right have been making fun of the ad, but I don't think it is all bad to have a guy like Clint Eastwood telling us it is time to get up off the floor and get back to work.

But there are funny things about the ad, Detroit is getting worse, not better, the ad wasn't filmed in Detroit, and it was paid for by a Italian company that received a bailout from the federal goverment.

And more corporate cronyism? Politico is announcing today that Fiat/Chrysler hired one of Obama's former advertizing companies.

Thomas Sowell: There are no solutions, just trade-offs.

Eastwood: No political spin to my Chrysler ad

"I just want to say that the spin stops with you guys, and there is no spin in that ad. On this I am certain," Eastwood said. "l am certainly not politically affiliated with Mr. Obama. It was meant to be a message about just about job growth and the spirit of America. I think all politicians will agree with it. I thought the spirit was OK." "If any Obama or any other politician wants to run with the spirit of that ad, go for it."

why did everyone on the right turn on Clint Eastwood? he's a die hard republican and made a commercial about America getting back to work and regaining a place in the world. I don't know what is so bad about that.

I thought it was a great commercial myself but I don't think we are at half time...I think we are down 10 points with about 10 minutes remaining in the 4th. I also don't think our QB is capable of launching a comeback.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Who got on Obama? I thought the ad was fine, and I like Eastwood. I agree with CritiKalBiLL though. It isn't halftime. We are very close to losing, and we are way behind. Tebow is nowhere to be found.

I thought the ad was fine too, when I watched it I smiled. Good ol Clint! It was only the next day all the dip$ht pundits ruined the good vibes. Politicians could learn a little and be more positive and upbeat instead of all the negative BS.

I agree we are not at halftime, but the attitude of coming back and seeing something ahead can help us.

Agreed, except, we have to not just dream of something ahead of us. We have to make the hard decisions to make it so.

Hard decisions.....they cost votes.
