how do you pay for coffee in the morning - not cash I hope?

What the hell? Seriously? Cash on the barrel is wrong now. I pay cash for alot of things including groceries. You want to cut down on your grocery bill? Pay cash. And I like that I don't have to have a trail for every single thing I buy. Why should I have to answer for it? This has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Privacy? Now it is becoming an entitlement for the government to know everything about you. Whatever happened to being innocent until proven guilty. This is fast becoming an excuse. Don't fall for it.

So, let's figure this out. Coffee at McDs is 1 or 2 dollars so in a month, OMG they spent 60 dollars. The sky is falling the sky is falling. Yeah, I really want to start eyeing people and be a watch dog for cash purchases.

And no, they should not know about every call I make. I have been a law abiding citizen my whole life. Give me a huge break. If they are worried about me and my small amount of cash then they can just check me out then leave me alone. It is easy to do. And how many terroists attacks have we had that would warrant this? This is bologna.

I got an e-mail for my job this morning that went to the wrong person in my company, and ended up in my inbox. It was a question regarding the gearing-down of some camps we have in the Middle East, and what to do with some of the excess supplies that we have accumulated.

Of course, I wrote them back and told them to try the person by the right address, but this isn't the first time it's happened.

So if you really think about it... I buy my coffee every morning in cash, and have "ties" to the Middle East and supply trades that go on there.

I'm already way past halfway to being considered a terrorist! lol

I think his point is that you will still have to fill out all the same paperwork as if you were getting a loan, SS# etc., you must show ID, etc. etc. etc. You cannot buy a car without confirmed ID.

We all know that Cash will be gone soon, how could it now, too many security risks and in a few years your govt is going to be telling the hold outs that they cannot afford to just print and have a cash system just for a few % of society, businesses will give up on it, by choice or mandate. Interestly enough, this will result in private currencies again, just like back in the good old days.

I paid cash for my Drivers license renewal today ($23). Then they fingerprinted me, took my picture, and asked lots of tricky questions. :)

I pay cash for most everything now, coffee, groceries, gas, meals.

Here is an interesting article about local communities printing their own money.

And Utah has made it legal to use gold to buy things.
