Romney-Deadbeat?

Robinson concedes that his candidate billing is largely symbolic. In 2010, Robinson sent U.S. Senate campaigns bills for security. But Robinson says that neither Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet nor his unsuccessful Republican challenger, Ken Buck, ever paid the bills.

Robinson said he's heard from cash-strapped sheriff departments in other counties and states, but doesn't know of any local force that's been paid for providing security for a politician's visit. He insisted that security plans wouldn't change if candidates start paying.

So... they are all deadbeats.

I don't think anyone would even be surprised by that, let alone outraged.

I'm not... but it makes fodder for the feigned "outrage" from the left.

This would be consistent with OWS policing themselves (seems to be a desired theme around here).....in what other ways can we get this policy in place. For example if you live in this county and have no crime at your house and commit no crimes and ask for no police assistance directly....the opposite of this type of visit.....can you send him a bill for you contribution to the police tax and get your money back?

I am curious how many of you would pay a bill that I sent to you for the amount that I contributed to your child's education locally....would you pay it or consider it to be sybolic of you need for my money to have the lifestyle your family wants?

clash, boom, bang.....that's the sound of sybols.

Nevermind, we don't really want people to be responsible....we just want to posture and get more of other people's money, both parties, most people, almost every last parent.

You're missing the point. This is about politicians, not school kids, not crime victims, just politicians wanting to close our roads during commute times and needing local police to do it because there's a whole bunch of local people that don't give a rat's ass about the fundraising breakfast a candidate needs to get to.

I don't think the Arapahoe County Sheriff is a lefty feigning outrage. These politicians raise hundreds of millions for their own cause. They should pay up for the costs the taxpayers incur,Dem or Repub.
You Twin are a hypocrite and phony small government type. You love small gov. until you want me to pay for your agenda.
