When I acquired my "civil union" with my wife, the state messed up - they issued m a marriage license! Well! If a "marriage" is something only God and the church can grant, then I want nothing of it! Our govt DOES issue marriage licenses, and the continued refusal to grant a MARRIAGE to those of different sexual persuasions is bigotry the Constitution is supposed to protect against.
