videos are blocked from work. Is this the same incident from 2009?

So the soldiers in the foxhole died to protect the American way of life, which includes the right to protest, freedom of speech etc. But those freedoms are only good if the VFW approves of what people protest?

When you run out of outrages, you HAVE to recycle.

Those freedoms are only good if the protestor burns a flag that belongs to him, not someone else... A VFW post ferinstance.

How about if we agree to link to the 2009 thread and save a bunch of bandwidth? :)

Edit: Nevermind... Looks like we never had a chance to beat this story to death on this forum.

Guess he should have gone and bought his own flag instead of burning the one that belonged to the VFW. He's lucky that is all that happened. Guess you missed that part of the video though.

Watch the video. The guy was drunk, the VFW wouldn't serve him, the only thing he was protesting was teh post wouldn't serve him any more booze. He tore down and burned the VFW post's flag on their property. He volunteered to be secured to the pole for a period of time, I would assume so to avoid the VFW post from pressing charges.

The title of this thread makes it easy for those who hate the military and the flag to make idiotic assumptions.

Seems if you knew it was recycled then YOU SHOULD HAVE KNOWN that it was the flag that belonged to the VFW, that this idiot did not have proper ID to be served and that this idiot got less than what he deserved. So you make idiotic comments about an organization that you most likely know little to nothing about, about an incident that was brought on by an idiot over lack of being served a drink because he did not have the proper ID. Just so you know the VFW Canteen's can refuse service to anyone for any reason. When a Canteen is open to the public, we have to make sure the laws are followed. Proper ID is the same though for all bars
