If you're going to post some silly story about one cheapskate who left a bad tip, why not at least comment on it? Must be a slow news day in Liberatopia.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Exactly! So much web to search, so much drivel to share.
Opinions be damned
I tip 20% unless things don't go well and it was the server who made the issues happen.
But that being said, what a screwed up system. Business owners don't have to pay employees...and depend on customers to do it directly?!?!?!
To understand how screwed the system is, just imagine your field and getting paid 1/3 of your pay and hoping with every company transaction that the customer makes up the other 2/3s. I guess freedom means we can negotiate all kinds of pay relationships....as long as everyone pays their legal taxes.....I wonder if this waitress pays all of her taxes due on cash tips....does anyone know any waitress that does? I guess one way to make sure she pays her taxes is to use a credit card!!! (don't forget you get to cost the owner 3% too when use whip out that card. wahoo.)
But tipping systems = owners shirking resp.
So though it sucked to leave a 1% tip, he could have left zero, that is the system, when you accept 20% tips or even the occasional 30-40-80-100% tip (it does happen, though rare), you accept 0% and 1% tips as part of the system.
How would you feel, would you go to a restaurant that charged 20% more for everything, but asked you not to tip because they actually pay wages?

If you actually know someone who works in a restaurant, fancy or not, you know the deal....
...when you eat out, you eat snot, underarm sweat, literal butt wipings, etc.....and that's if you are nice.
When you are not nice, or just one cooks is pissed at the waitstaff, assume much worse....that grime on the floor behind the fryer, toast wiped on the inside of a toilet.
These are people, and people, when they won't get caught, could care less about other people.
If you eat out a lot, you eat the above a lot. It's really that simple.

Are you kidding me? 90% of the threads started in here are a link with no comment by the OP and you pick out this one to bitch about?

Luck of the draw, I didnt want to be repetitive. Sorry you were the straw that got chosen, nothing personal.

IMO, the idea that a poster needs to post a comment on his link is a pathetic attempt to stifle discussion. I do recall when it became part of the TOS over there and is a good part of the reason I mostly post over here.
Still I grew up with dial up Internet and toll charges. I think is not good netiquette to post a link with out a snip of the content or of a video with out some clue of what it is. If it is not there I will rarely follow it.
