It was hyperbole... but barely. Considering the connections that have come out in the past between Media Matters and the White House, and recent information that this connection may have gone rather deep (and rather illegal), for Dershowitz to decide to possibly step on these toes at this point in time, and he has declared "“Not only will [the Media Matters controversy] be an election matter, I will personally make it an election matter,” Dershowitz, a professor at Harvard Law School, told WABC's Aaron Klein today." this is certainly a move away from the current Democratic establishment.

Alan Dershowitz has become a parody of an angry, crazy old guy. The guy votes and donates based solely on another country's interests. He refuses to hear ANYTHING critical of Israel.

The left has lost several of their prominent members. Daley comes to mind. He wrote an op-ed before the last election predicting a disaster for the left if they do not do a mid-course correction. He was right and they brought him in as chief of staff.

Evidently the President only listens to bad advice so he is back out.
