Geez, I had no agenda, I just thought I had tripped across something I did not know, that seemed interesting, it happens all the time. I am not clear on why you even refer to a left wing agenda or anything of the like. I don't understand the intense reaction, vs. just helping me understand that it is not quite that simple or incorrect.
I am just looking for information. It is hard to know what to believe, I have no basis to believe you, any of your sites or references, I guess I could have done the research that Photofish's site had done, if they actually did any.
If we had another flag, I thought it was cool, if we used to salute like nazis chose to later and ruined it, I thought that was cool.
But I am also sick of stuff around here, mainly hot heads that slam anyone vs. having a dialogue or trying to help people understand that they are wrong, not factual or missing the point...but I guess the point of 285bound is to see what everyone would do if they degenerated back into a 3rd grader....for those that made it past that point. I've worked, earned and/or fought for everything I have and to see bastardizations of this country's history presented here.... to see people trying to control the way in which my family and I live, really pisses me off to no end.
Thus, get over it, and grow a pair, and if someone is about to present historical evidence, they'd best get their sh!t together and present it correctly.

How is a ranting response that has little to do with what was posted well stated....or is it well stated but put in the wrong place? A flag and a salute have nothing to do with getting things for free, or being rich. I am sick of people that want freebees all the time, I post on here all the time about deadbeat parents who take take take, even when they are not poor or in need. But I guess you make the point of why nothing is ever resolved, we don't even know to stay on topic....or not over react, myself included many times.
So speaking of admitting things...if I was wrong about history I am fine with admitting things...we will see if you man up and post here that perhaps you responded to the wrong post and that a over-rant about freebees has nothing to do with being incorrect or trusting a poor source on the internet. Are you man enough to let me know if you had a kid, sent them to public school, took your neighbor's wealth against their will to suppor this and your financial status so that we know if you were despirate when you took that wealth? I accept that perhaps you did not have kids, or did not send them to public school or perhaps even did both, but paid for it directly, but anything else you are are just the person you are complaining about, a freebee taker leftie liberal, whatever.
So is it also a myth that active service members support Ron Paul more than all other candidates combined, with Obama being #2? Word on the net is that he gets more money from them than any other group of people and he gets more than any other politician. They say it is because he only supports defending the US vs. growing the US empire. I am really asking, as I don't know who to trust anymore.

After reading those posts, perhaps I do owe you an apology popcorn, after all you didn't incite any threats like Critical. I've seen posts like your initial in other places and I guess I thought you were jumping on a non-sensical band wagon of ignorance. Since you are not, I apologise.
Since it was asked, I'll answer. I have two kids actually, step sons to be exact but they recognize me as their father simply because I gave a damn and put all my effort into their well being. Raised them as my own, I'd gladly fight and die for them any day. Years ago we did initially enroll them in Platte Canyon (where I graduated from), and Fitzsimmons but found the school system was vastly lacking since the days of my attendance so their enrollment was short lived. Our oldest selected a private school for which the wife and I doubled efforts and worked hard to pay for. He graduated and is now maintaining a 9 to 5 while studying up to become a Highway patrolman. Our younger son opted to be home schooled so that I could help him prepare and train for his future. He is now serving in the US Army and I'm extremely proud of his accomplishments. Both sons are recently married and apparently learned quite well that nothing is granted or given, everything in life is earned or at least should be.
I do not consider myself of the 99% for two reasons. First because of the mindset I've stated above and my willingness to bust my ass to provide for my own. Second because I don't even fit into that title in my closest of circles, but there the term 1% has an entirely different meaning, though it still refers to doing whatever one deems necessary to provide for one's own.

I appreciate your tale and I also appreciate that I can be quite assertive, quick to post and pompass....just not all the time with everything.
We have access to massive qtys of info...some of it good. I am just trying and like most around here, I am fascinated by the unexpected. The concept of a peace or civil flag seems like it could have been used, easy to believe. I can also see how distortions of history, even subtle have been used precipitate some pretty extreme changes in the world and should be quickly corrected when stated.
I don't think I was wrong about the salute from my understanding, I actually got that one from wikipedia, but again, if anyone has clarification...I think Hitler ruined what was otherwise a pretty tradtional salute used in many cultures through the ages.
