This is the latest Dem talking point, that Republicans hate women and legislate against them.
Why would they do this? Pissing off 1/2 the voters in the country seems like a good way to lose an election.
And if the Republicans hate you, why do so many women continue to vote for the GOP? Maybe women aren't all NOW activists who support the liberal platform?

Let’s try a little thought experiment here. What if the problem with conservatives isn’t that they are wrong, but rather than even when they are right their logic is so bad we can’t fairly judge the merit of their positions? What if their logic is so twisted that it simply short circuits our brains?
In other words, the right wing is completely inconsistent about the federal government. That inconsistency drives us completely mad. We can’t really deal with the central question of whether a large federal government is good or bad because we are reduced to drooling, twitching wrecks trying to make sense of this stuff. We shouldn’t bother. The only common logic thread here is short-term self-interest, not sound economics or thoughtful policy.
They don't think about what it means for their chances, they only want to satisfy the loud, squeaky wheels of their donors. Those old, white, conservative, religious men who think that women shouldn't be allowed to control their own sexuality and who fear continuing to lose their power as we get closer in equality to wages, become CEOs more and more, and increase our percentages in traditionally male-dominated fields.
More inconsistency (this R Gov shouldn't be re-elected, he's an idiot):
The girls were arrested for holding a sit-in to protest the closing of their school, the Catherine Ferguson Academy, which was established to serve students who are pregnant or mothering. The school provides day care and parenting classes, and focuses on getting students to college and giving them skills that help future self-sufficiency. Supposedly “pro-life” conservatives should not only be supporting this school, but demanding that every high school in the country provide these services to teenage mothers. After all, these girls did what anti-choicers ask of them. They chose to have their babies. And now the very same conservatives that wax sentimental about “choosing life” are working to shut down the educational opportunities of young women who did what anti-choicers want, by having their babies.
If you get pregnant outside of their very narrow parameters of what’s acceptable (middle class, married, white), they simply want you to suffer for it.
Ignorant broad brush assumptions don't equate to fact no matter how loud you scream them or repeat them. One or two guys spew some BS and suddenly it's painted on anyone who says they have conservative views. This is an easy game to play but it's dishonest at best.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Simply the perception that Republicans are waging a war on women is enough to damage the Republican brand....and so far conservatives keep reinforcing that perception. Once given that perception is difficult to shake. We have seen that in the campaign to accuse Democrats as waging a war on religion. It doesn't have to be true for voters to believe. Republicans need to do some damage control, but so far they don't seem to care if voters think they are anti women.
