Well, the only thing that would carry conservative water is a mindless robot.

I just don't see the raging anchor as you indicate in Rachel. Can you cite some examples where you felt she was over the top in her reporting? I don't watch the shows that are so bent that it is impossible to watch. I like Rachel A LOT. I feel that she is getting information out that the network news isn't even focusing on.
Have you watched UP with Chris Hayes? He tackles the tough topics with a variety of people for 2 hours each Saturday and 2 hours each Sunday. He is also wicked smart and I enjoy his show A LOT. I come away being smarter and feeling good that people can have these discussions without attacking each other. What a breath of fresh air!

Did you see Cal Thomas's writing about his comment about Rachel at CPAC?

They even had lunch together yesterday.

and even Roger Ailes writes a blurb for Rachel's new book, Drift

http://www.mediaite.com/online/foxs-rog ... h-reading/

“Drift never makes the case that war might be necessary. America would be weakened dramatically if we had underreacted to 9/11. However, Rachel Maddow makes valid arguments that our country has been drifting towards questionable wars, draining our resources, without sufficient input and time. People who like Rachel will love the book. People who don’t will get angry, but aggressive debate is good for America. Drift is a book worth reading.”

Back on topic, I think some people like Rush because he is so politically incorrect. Trump? Maybe they respect him for being so outspoken. There are a lot of Washington Repubs who have been tamed by the beltway press.

Nope, haven't seen Hayes but I'll check him out and let you know what I think (if you care).

As for Maddow, I dislike her for a similar reason I don't like Rush. Both will ignore the stories that hurt their side and dig as deep as they can to find the flaws on the opposite side. I get enough of that here. Wouldn't it be refreshing to watch a news program that is hosted by someone who is truly neutral and gave equal time to guests on all sides of a debate? I know that's nearly impossible, but I think the show would really take off. I suppose it would also need to be a non-partisan network....even more impossible.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

The closest I've found to someone willing to take potshots at both sides is Jon Stewart on The Daily Show. He sure went after Anthony Weiner. Sometimes the only thing you can do about a situation is laugh.

I do like Stewart no matter who he's bashing.
