Eleanor Roosevelt came from money and worked tirelessly on behalf of the poor.

Edited to add: That is not to say that Anne Romney will do the same.

Like I said. You want Thurston Howell III for president, have at it. Prove to people someone can buy their way into the presidency.

The facts remain... you don't know what you're talking about when it comes to actual facts. That certainly diminishes any chance that your opinions would convince anyone of anything. It's like your pissing into the wind. A lot of effort but all you wind up doing is getting wet. Sad.

If I had Thurston Howell for my candidate, I'd be upset too... I don't think they have training for "Get a Clue"....

Except we are talking about Ann Romney on this thread... not some fictional TV figure... Lady Jazzer - failing to separate fact from fantasy since birth.

I guess I'd rather have those poor Obama's running things- they can really relate to the common man- you know.

President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, paid a 20.5 percent federal tax rate on $789,674 in adjusted gross income for 2011, according to tax returns released today by the White House.

The Obamas’ income dropped from $1.7 million in 2010 and $5.5 million in 2009. Obama, who earns a $400,000 annual salary as president, received most of the rest of his 2011 income from sales of his books.

They wouldn't be subject to the 30% millionaire tax this year- they only made a measly $789,674 - of course they get all their housing and air fare for cheap.

Well - maybe next year Obama will get to pay 30%.

I feel I have to defend Thurston and Lovey. They went from being millionaires to living without any income on a island with penniless people for years. I think they would have true empathy for those people without indoor plumbing or contraceptives.

BTW, why did no one get pregnant there?

Oh yeah, Lovey Howell.

(That's sarcasm. I have to point that out for TLGT since he seems to not know the difference. At least I THINK TLGT is a guy. Might be a woman with that cat avatar)

TLGT has the online profile/tendency of a very ugly woman with PPMS (perpetual PMS). :rofl

If you bothered to read the thread before your mouthed off...

While Massachusetts First Lady, she was active in teenage pregnancy prevention efforts.[27] In 2004, she said she was in favor of stem cell research as long as it was done "morally and ethically".[21] One of her rare public appearances at the Massachusetts State House came in 2004 when she lobbied the legislature to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis.[28]

In 2005, the governor appointed his wife as head of a new special office whose purpose was to help the state's faith-based groups gain more federal monies in association with the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives.[29] This came after the state had seen its share of faith-based grants decline over the preceding three years.[30] In this unpaid Governor's Liaison position,[17][29] Ann Romney was termed a "dynamo" by Jim Towey, director of the White House office.[30]

She has been involved in a number of children's charities, including being director of the inner city-oriented Best Friends.[17] She worked extensively with the Ten Point Coalition in Boston and with other groups that promoted better safety and opportunities for urban youths.[31] She was given the 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award from Salt Lake City-based Operation Kids.[32] She has also served as a board member for the United Way of America[17] and helped found United Way Faith and Action.[31]

At the conclusion of her time as Massachusetts First Lady, Romney said that the role "doesn't need to change your life at all. I think it's an opportunity for service and an opportunity to see people of all walks of life from across the Commonwealth.... It's an enriching part of your life [and one will] treasure it forever."[33] Her health was still a primary factor in family decisions about her husband's career, and Mitt said in 2005 that if her multiple sclerosis flared up, "I wouldn't be involved in politics anymore; that would be over." [34]

She's already got most first ladies beat by a mile... and left you in the dust a long time ago.

So hubby appointed her to get more money for religious organizations. There's an item for your resume.

Exactly what did she do? She "worked" doing what? Director and board member of a couple organizations. What were her responsibilities? What did she achieve besides an award?

Specifics, please, since you're quoting this stuff.
