Has anyone seen Barack Obama recently?

You know, the optimistic hopeful fellow with the charming smile who promised so many positive things four and five years ago, how he was going to change the harsh, partisan tone of our nation's capital and bring the country together as its first African American president.

Even allowing for political hyperbole, his empty resume and the invisible witnesses from the past, Obama was such a Real Good Talker that even some who didn't vote for him still had hope that he could change some things for the better in what seemed a sadly-splintered society.

WTH did that Obama go? Have you listened recently to this Chicago Doppelganger who's replaced him? This 2012 Obama is strident and mean, even deceitful, divisive, telling half-truths after half-truths. He's using Air Force One as his personal Brinks truck with wings to collect cash all over the country, disguising the trips as official.

Care to address the op-ed or just continue to deflect.

(My crystal ball says that if I left it there you would ask me what the central point is and no matter what I answer would continue to pick nits. Prove me wrong or go eat a mushroom.)

How is commenting on a section of the article you posted deflecting? The rest is just subjective. The part of the article I commented on is what I wanted to comment on.

Look up the definition of deflecting. You're doing it in your response. I have no idea what "Go eat a mushroom" means or what it has to do with what you posted. It makes you look really childish. Perhaps you want to edit that part out?

Well neptunechimney, I actually want to see more of it. Reminds me of a spoiled brat who doesn't get his way. Either that or he is popping something. Either way people need to see him for what he really is - a fraud.

"A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson

The piece had a central theme. I was right, continue to pick nits all you want. As to
mushrooms, if you really do not get it than I am wrong as to who you are. No big deal to me ether way.

If I understand your post, you'd prefer if we comment we need to comment on the complete article and not just on a single part of the article?

I do not care what you comment on. I just pointed out your deflection from the central theme. Feel free to do the same to me.

I just think in the context of the peice your nit is a pathetic straw man. I think when I nit pick a peice, my nit at least has something to do with the thrust of the post. Prove me wrong.

Do you even know what a strawman argument is? It has nothing to do with commenting on one part of an article. It's saying something like, "Oh, you're a conservative. Therefore whatever you say is stupid" without saying anything about what you posted.

Pic nits as long as you want. Perhaps you should declare victory and go to bed.
