Really? I guess you haven't been reading here on 285Bound lately. There is so much to fault Romney for it's like the gift that keeps on giving. His wealth matters little to me beyond they type of person he has become because of it. Others who rival his wealth seem to be able to maintain their humanity and sense of balance in this world, Romney? not so much.

nope....he's a robot......you can program him to say whatever you want to hear from him......he doesn't have a truthful bone in his body, that alone should be enough to make anyone think twice about voting for the man, especially Republicans. You may well vote him into office, but you won't know what you have gotten until it's too late. His only qualification for being the Republican nominee is that he isn't Obama.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any issue where the modern Republican Party or Romney wouldn't be considered more progressive than Lincoln (other than wearing a beard). Well, Lincoln did at least believe in women's sufferage, not that he did much about it...

On June 13, 1836, Lincoln wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper called the Sangamo Journal. He said, "I go for admitting all whites to the right of suffrage who pay taxes or bear arms - by no means excluding females."

I think I have seen a couple of posts here agree with Lincoln saying you should only be able to vote if you pay taxes. I don't recall Lincoln calling for any national retirement program, Medicare, health care, EPA, Department of Education, etc. You might say some modern day Republicans don't want some of them either, but I suspect Romney would keep them all if elected.
