Here's an answer... hot off the press... direct from Paris, the city of lights... my question was "So… Sarkozy is looking like he is loosing ground to the left. Opinions? On one side you have the vile nationalism of Le Pen and on the other side we you have the big tent socialism of Hollande. The middle doesn’t seem to be holding. What’s up?"

And the answer "What's up is if you put the left/right or right/left hemispheres of the brains of each candidate together, you would still lack an organ capable of coming up with an original, creative or useful idea. It's pure politics at its worst. What's up is that there are so many systemic problems on a global and EU level that the sh*t is starting to hit the fan and not one of the candidates has the slightest idea of how to hit the 'off' switch or even how to find it. I'm not certain that anyone does at this point. That's why I'm voting Poopzilla this year - as I have every year."

Update from NYC - Go OWS!

http://www.cnbc.com/id/47248701

OWS crowd proclaimed "we are the 99 Percent" and "banks got bailed out, we got sold out," a band of construction workers delivered chants of their own.

"Get-a-job! Get-a-job!"

They chanted, "Bank of America, wrong for America" and other slogans that sometimes failed to stay, well, classy. ("Hey bofa, go f--- yourself" was one catchy refrain.)

"Enough is enough. Take some of the salaries of these big-shot executives inside there and give some to the common people."

Seattle mayor issues emergency order after May Day mayhem!

Yep, keep up the good work! Smash up some local businesses and spray paint some cars! Whoohoo!

Lets fan the flames of class warfare some more, it seems to be working. Looks like fun too.

according to the Economist neither candidate wants to talk about the real issues facing France. Sounds just like here.
