One story quoted on Fox's Red Eye says that the media has actually been nicer to Romney than Obama so far in this election cycle. Part of the reason is that Romney isn't having to defend higher gas prices and unemployment, just his dog travel methods and some miss-statements.
Plus Romney has been suffering the slings and arrows of fellow Republican candidates. No need for the press to add their barbs.
